About Me
I am a wife and mother of two little girls. In addition to that I am a teacher of exceptional learners by day and a children's book author; when I have a spare moment.
The idea for this series came about from my experiences in the classroom along with observing the great need for a resource like this that teachers in the inclusive school setting could utilize.
My hope is to have a "friend" book for each "disABLEing" category of special education to aid teachers with the process of explaining some characteristics that may accompany and situations that can occur in the classroom. This series is written in a way that will promote understanding and foster positive peer relationships throughout not only classrooms but entire schools and communities around the world.
